Week 1: Be a Man in Your Relationship with God

Men often feel they need to act boastful or rude to be manly. Real men are self-confident, and can let God show them how they should act. We are to pursue righteousness and Godliness, becoming more like Him. We are to have bold, courageous faith – following God even in times where it feels foolish, with steadfastness.

And finally, men should be gentle with those around them – their wives and children. Being harsh and rigid doesn’t make you a man; it just makes you difficult to love. In our gentleness, we create an atmosphere that invites and creates a culture of love in our homes.

Practical Steps

1. Pay close attention to your words/mood with your family, friends, and co-workers today – reflect God’s gentleness even with those who wrong you.
