Consider:

God’s work of creation and restoration is a beautiful thread that runs throughout all of Scripture. From the very first moment in Genesis, when God spoke life into existence, to the promise of a new heaven and new earth at the end of time, His work is one of bringing life where there is death, order where there is chaos, and beauty where there is brokenness. The entire narrative of Scripture is a story of God's redemptive work—a story that invites us to participate in His transformative power, both in the world and in our own lives.

In the midst of that redemptive story, Jesus, as the ultimate expression of God’s love, truth, and light, is the one who makes a way for us to be with Him. When we follow Him, we are invited to be part of His work of creation and restoration. And what’s so powerful is that this invitation isn’t reserved for a select few—whether we’re artists, parents, teachers, or anyone in between, we all have a part to play.

As we follow Jesus, we are continually being invited to partner with Him in this mission of bringing life, healing, and beauty into the world. The beauty of the gospel is that this redemptive work is not just for the future but is something that we get to engage in right now—in the way we live, speak, and love. Every moment is an opportunity to create something that reflects the beauty of God’s kingdom. Whether through a piece of art, a meal shared with others, a kind word, or a simple act of service, we are embodying the truth that Jesus is making all things new.

Ponder:

What gifts is the Lord giving you? Notice in what posture you receive these gifts. Do you find yourself resistant in any way?

What are some tangible ways that the Lord has loved you in the past few days?

Where would you like the Lord to create beauty in your life? Where do you long to join with Jesus in restoring all things?

Activate:

• Open your hands and ask to receive whatever the Lord wants to give you today. Spend 5 minutes in this posture.
• Make a list of the ways God has saved you, given to you and/or loved you. Read over the list daily for one week.
• Pay attention to where the Lord is making beauty and wholeness in and around you. How is He inviting you to join Him? Share and celebrate the stories of God's work in the people in your community. Create songs, art, stories, or any reminders of the goodness of God.
• Choose one way to make beauty today. It could be in your physical environment or with the words you speak over others. Share in the creative work of God.
• Consider how you are the work of God’s hands. You are His masterpiece. Allow the love of God as your Creator to surround you.
