Creating a Culture of Gospel Multiplication // Gospel X - Multiplying the Gospelਨਮੂਨਾ

When you keep reading through Acts, you will realize that more and more disciples appear. Whereas it starts with the twelve disciples, there are more and more added from chapter to chapter. In this chapter, you can read about Priscilla and Aquila who were travelling with Paul. After a while, Paul left Priscilla and Aquila in Ephesus and continued his travels by himself. In Ephesus, Priscilla and Aquila met Apollos. He was a learned man, with a lot of knowledge of the Scripture. He could be called a disciple of John the Baptist. So, Priscilla and Aquila took him in and taught him more about Jesus and the gospel.
The interesting part about this paragraph is that there are new believers coming into the story whom we have never heard of before. Apollos was not taught by Paul or some of the other “big” known leaders. He learned about John the Baptist and followed his teachings. It is not known if he knew John personally or if he learned about him through someone else. But the fact is that there are believers who find their faith through ordinary, unknown Christians. The Christian faith is not about some heroes. It does not rely on a few shoulders. The Christian faith is about everyone playing their own part in the big story. The only important name is Jesus.
Who is there around you who might already be on the way of giving their life to Jesus and just needs someone to help them with the next steps? Who is an “Apollos” near you? To whom can you be a Priscilla or Aquila?

About this Plan

Jesus left the church the vision of a movement when he challenged us to reproduce from our own Jerusalem into “Judea, Samaria and the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). For us to see a movement, we need every Christ follower to adopt Jesus' personal mission to “seek and save the lost.” (Luke 19:10). Evangelism is core to the mission of Jesus and essential to accomplishing his vision. This plan is part of a 5-week journey on the topic of Gospel X - Multiplying the gospel.
