Everyone Sharing the Gospel Everywhere // Gospel X - Multiplying the Gospel

DAY 7 OF 7

The story of Cornelius, the Gentile, shows God’s heart for every person on earth. God does not exclude anyone. He wants everyone to join in His Heavenly family. He showed himself to Cornelius and encouraged him to send his servant to get Peter. As a Gentile, Cornelius would have needed to become circumcised and convert fully to Judaism before being able to become part of the Jewish people. But God includes everyone. Through Jesus Christ, everyone is now able to become a child of God. When Peter arrived at Cornelius’ house, Cornelius and his household were already prepared to receive the gospel message. This also happens today. God prepares people. He shows Himself to them or attracts their attention in some way. These people are often so prepared that they are even looking for Christians and churches to get answers. The only task of believers is then to be available and answer their questions. Every believer can do that in every setting. It is not limited to church or Sundays.

Like Cornelius, those that God prepared might not fit the mould. They might not fit the rest of our friends. Cornelius was a Gentile, someone that is not accepted into Judaism without many rules. The people that God prepared might not be your natural friends. They could be outcasts, criminals, refugees, addicts, or whatever. God loves them as well and if He prepared them to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, it is our responsibility to show them the way.

How can you meet those people around you that God already prepared and that are asking questions and looking for answers? Have you ever noticed those around you that are unlike yourself but who turn to you to ask for answers?

About this Plan

Everyone Sharing the Gospel Everywhere // Gospel X - Multiplying the Gospel

Jesus left the church the vision of a movement when he challenged us to reproduce from our own Jerusalem into “Judea, Samaria and the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). For us to see a movement, we need every Christ follower to adopt Jesus' personal mission to “seek and save the lost.” (Luke 19:10). Evangelism is core to the mission of Jesus and essential to accomplishing his vision. This plan is part of a 5-week journey on the topic of Gospel X - Multiply the gospel
