 <div class="label">10</div><div class="s2">The Good Shepherd</div><div class="p"> 1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 6This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.</div><div class="p"> 7Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 13The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 14I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 17Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.</div><div class="p"> 19There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. 20And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?</div><div class="p"> 21Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?</div><div class="s2">The Feast of the Dedication</div><div class="p"> 22And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. 23And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. 24Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. 25Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. 26But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30I and my Father are one.</div><div class="p"> 31Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. 34Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? 37If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 38But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.</div><div class="p"> 39Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand, 40and went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode. 41And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true. 42And many believed on him there.</div>

 <div class="label">14</div><div class="q1"> 1Every wise woman buildeth her house:</div><div class="q2">But the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.</div><div class="q1"> 2He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD:</div><div class="q2">But he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.</div><div class="q1"> 3In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride:</div><div class="q2">But the lips of the wise shall preserve them.</div><div class="q1"> 4Where no oxen are, the crib is clean:</div><div class="q2">But much increase is by the strength of the ox.</div><div class="q1"> 5A faithful witness will not lie:</div><div class="q2">But a false witness will utter lies.</div><div class="q1"> 6A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not:</div><div class="q2">But knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.</div><div class="q1"> 7Go from the presence of a foolish man,</div><div class="q2">When thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.</div><div class="q1"> 8The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way:</div><div class="q2">But the folly of fools is deceit.</div><div class="q1"> 9Fools make a mock at sin:</div><div class="q2">But among the righteous there is favour.</div><div class="q1"> 10The heart knoweth his own bitterness;</div><div class="q2">And a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.</div><div class="q1"> 11The house of the wicked shall be overthrown:</div><div class="q2">But the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.</div><div class="q1"> 12There is a way which seemeth right unto a man,</div><div class="q2">But the end thereof are the ways of death.</div><div class="q1"> 13Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful;</div><div class="q2">And the end of that mirth is heaviness.</div><div class="q1"> 14The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways:</div><div class="q2">And a good man shall be satisfied from himself.</div><div class="q1"> 15The simple believeth every word:</div><div class="q2">But the prudent man looketh well to his going.</div><div class="q1"> 16A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil:</div><div class="q2">But the fool rageth, and is confident.</div><div class="q1"> 17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly:</div><div class="q2">And a man of wicked devices is hated.</div><div class="q1"> 18The simple inherit folly:</div><div class="q2">But the prudent are crowned with knowledge.</div><div class="q1"> 19The evil bow before the good;</div><div class="q2">And the wicked at the gates of the righteous.</div><div class="q1"> 20The poor is hated even of his own neighbour:</div><div class="q2">But the rich hath many friends.</div><div class="q1"> 21He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth:</div><div class="q2">But he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.</div><div class="q1"> 22Do they not err that devise evil?</div><div class="q2">But mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.</div><div class="q1"> 23In all labour there is profit:</div><div class="q2">But the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.</div><div class="q1"> 24The crown of the wise is their riches:</div><div class="q2"> But the foolishness of fools is folly.</div><div class="q1"> 25A true witness delivereth souls:</div><div class="q2">But a deceitful witness speaketh lies.</div><div class="q1"> 26In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence:</div><div class="q2">And his children shall have a place of refuge.</div><div class="q1"> 27The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life,</div><div class="q2">To depart from the snares of death.</div><div class="q1"> 28In the multitude of people is the king's honour:</div><div class="q2">But in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.</div><div class="q1"> 29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding:</div><div class="q2">But he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.</div><div class="q1"> 30A sound heart is the life of the flesh:</div><div class="q2">But envy the rottenness of the bones.</div><div class="q1"> 31He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker:</div><div class="q2">But he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.</div><div class="q1"> 32The wicked is driven away in his wickedness:</div><div class="q2">But the righteous hath hope in his death.</div><div class="q1"> 33Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding:</div><div class="q2">But that which is in the midst of fools is made known.</div><div class="q1"> 34Righteousness exalteth a nation:</div><div class="q2">But sin is a reproach to any people.</div><div class="q1"> 35The king's favour is toward a wise servant:</div><div class="q2">But his wrath is against him that causeth shame.</div><div class="b"></div>

 <div class="label">15</div><div class="q1"> 1A soft answer turneth away wrath:</div><div class="q2">But grievous words stir up anger.</div><div class="q1"> 2The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright:</div><div class="q2">But the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.</div><div class="q1"> 3The eyes of the LORD are in every place,</div><div class="q2">Beholding the evil and the good.</div><div class="q1"> 4A wholesome tongue is a tree of life:</div><div class="q2">But perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.</div><div class="q1"> 5A fool despiseth his father's instruction:</div><div class="q2">But he that regardeth reproof is prudent.</div><div class="q1"> 6In the house of the righteous is much treasure:</div><div class="q2">But in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.</div><div class="q1"> 7The lips of the wise disperse knowledge:</div><div class="q2">But the heart of the foolish doeth not so.</div><div class="q1"> 8The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD:</div><div class="q2">But the prayer of the upright is his delight.</div><div class="q1"> 9The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD:</div><div class="q2">But he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.</div><div class="q1"> 10Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way:</div><div class="q2"> And he that hateth reproof shall die.</div><div class="q1"> 11Hell and destruction are before the LORD:</div><div class="q2">How much more then the hearts of the children of men?</div><div class="q1"> 12A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him:</div><div class="q2">Neither will he go unto the wise.</div><div class="q1"> 13A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance:</div><div class="q2">But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.</div><div class="q1"> 14The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge:</div><div class="q2">But the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.</div><div class="q1"> 15All the days of the afflicted are evil:</div><div class="q2">But he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.</div><div class="q1"> 16Better is little with the fear of the LORD</div><div class="q2">Than great treasure and trouble therewith.</div><div class="q1"> 17Better is a dinner of herbs where love is,</div><div class="q2">Than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.</div><div class="q1"> 18A wrathful man stirreth up strife:</div><div class="q2">But he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.</div><div class="q1"> 19The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns:</div><div class="q2">But the way of the righteous is made plain.</div><div class="q1"> 20A wise son maketh a glad father:</div><div class="q2">But a foolish man despiseth his mother.</div><div class="q1"> 21Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom:</div><div class="q2">But a man of understanding walketh uprightly.</div><div class="q1"> 22Without counsel purposes are disappointed:</div><div class="q2">But in the multitude of counsellors they are established.</div><div class="q1"> 23A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:</div><div class="q2">And a word spoken in due season, how good is it!</div><div class="q1"> 24The way of life is above to the wise,</div><div class="q2">That he may depart from hell beneath.</div><div class="q1"> 25The LORD will destroy the house of the proud:</div><div class="q2">But he will establish the border of the widow.</div><div class="q1"> 26The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD:</div><div class="q2">But the words of the pure are pleasant words.</div><div class="q1"> 27He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house;</div><div class="q2">But he that hateth gifts shall live.</div><div class="q1"> 28The heart of the righteous studieth to answer:</div><div class="q2">But the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.</div><div class="q1"> 29The LORD is far from the wicked:</div><div class="q2">But he heareth the prayer of the righteous.</div><div class="q1"> 30The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart:</div><div class="q2"> And a good report maketh the bones fat.</div><div class="q1"> 31The ear that heareth the reproof of life</div><div class="q2">Abideth among the wise.</div><div class="q1"> 32He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul:</div><div class="q2">But he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.</div><div class="q1"> 33The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom;</div><div class="q2">And before honour is humility.</div><div class="b"></div>
