Living in Increase (Part 6) - Increase in LeadershipSample
Go to God
While we can (and should) learn from other leaders and sources, our ultimate source of information should be God. Spending time in the Word and with God will give you confidence. Ultimately, He will teach you the most about your identity and purpose.
It may take work to have self-confidence. We have the enemy whispering negative things in our ears constantly. We may fall into the trap of comparison. However, when you start to feel this way, remember to take your thoughts captive (2 Corinthians 10:5). Be confident in who your God is and who He created you to be. Remember that you can do all things through Him; you are more than a conqueror, and He will never leave nor forsake you. He loves you, and He created you on purpose for a purpose!
Paul reminds us in his letter (Philippians) to the church at Philippi that God is still working on us. He has begun a good work in us. Allow Him to complete His work in you so you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Do not be discouraged if you continue to experience anxiety, depression, or fear. Submit it to the Lord and trust Him with it. He will do a good work in you!
