The Jesus Adventure

DAY 7 OF 7

God fulfills His promises as always, in His perfect timing. When we’re walking by faith, we become part of that perfect timing. We have seen through history how He has kept His promises precisely for His people. Everything we have learned in this study, and everything we count on as we go forward, comes down to our ability to trust in the character of God through His promises. God’s promises enable us to navigate and succeed through this adventure with Jesus.

Therefore, we go forward boldly, relying on God’s promises that have been made to us. To do that, we want to know them correctly. If it was promised to someone else, we need to know whether that promise extends to us. As a general inclusive promise to all of God’s people, the Bible says:

“For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness.”

—Psalm 107:9 (NKJV)

So, we look to the promises of God to do just that: satisfy and fill the areas of hunger and thirst we encounter in life!

The Jesus Adventure continues until He returns or calls us home. The adventure is for those who humbly trust Him and activate their faith in Him. His ultimate plan for us is to become possessors of the promises. As we do, He frees us from every evil that binds us.

Since we have been set free, we walk by trust; we celebrate Him, sit at His feet, and listen and do His Word. He gives us these amazing promises for life, hope, love, joy, peace, and a heavenly home that we want to share. So, we tell others about His amazing favor. Let it become your lifestyle, and rest confidently—because Jesus will not deny us; Jesus will never reject us if we trust Him.

Jesus’ authority from Heaven brings a God-ordered way that destroys the chaos of the spirit of rebellion.

Knowing that God has given us exceedingly great and precious promises, we hold them tightly, because we know He is returning soon, and we want to be found faithful when He does.
