Build a Relationship With GodSample
šŖKnock, knockā¦. whoās there?
Yesterday, I shared that God is deeply relational. How is your relationship with Him? Perhaps youāre thinking, āItās great!ā or āIt could be better,ā or maybe, āWhat do you mean? I didnāt even know having a relationship with God was possible.ā
God passionately desires to have a relationship with you! The wonderful news is that itās never too late to start building that relationship. š All you need to do is let Him in!
āBehold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Meā. (Revelation 3:20)
Although a relationship with God is different from one with a human being, the same foundational principles apply: it requires time, effort, and communication.
The more time you spend with a friend, the better you get to know them and the stronger your friendship becomes. The same is true with God. Some ways you can get to know Him are by reading His word, through worship, and spending time in prayer. Over the coming days, together, we will explore what a relationship with God entails.
God wants to be your friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24)
This week, I encourage you to draw closer to God. Set a timer for 10 minutes each day and spend time with God without any distractions (switch off your phone if possible! š). You can pray, read the Bible, or sit silently in His presence.
Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
