Love in action

Today's scripture reminds us that sharing your faith isn't just about words; it's about what you do and how you act. You might not always have the opportunity to proclaim God's love verbally, but you are always in a position to show God's love through your actions.

Sharing your faith is ultimately about showing God's love to others. It's not about having all the right words, defining every aspect of Jesus' teaching, or knowing your Bible from front to back. It's about demonstrating God's love through how you live. St Francis of Assisi famously said, 'Preach the Gospel at all times. When necessary, use words.' Your actions are one of the most powerful tools that you have to share the gospel.

Every day, we have opportunities to love others, to show kindness and help others in meeting practical needs. This is one of the greatest ways to share God's love. What does love in action look like for you?

Mother Teresa once said, 'Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.' Her words remind us that even small acts of love can make a significant difference to someone's life. By focusing on loving others through our actions, we reflect Jesus' love in a way that words alone cannot.
