Prepare for an EncounterSample
Willing to submit to the Word
Then the Lord said to him, "Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do." Acts 9:6 NKJV
Saul was now willing to listen to something or someone other than himself and his own opinions. His spiritual ‘eyes’ had been opened.
Throughout this devotional we come to a realization that change is essential in order to go on with God. If you have a willing heart, you will find that the Word of God will speak to you and God will tell you “what you must do.”
Willing to receive ministry
Read Acts 9:17
"And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
Prayer is a very powerful link with God and requires humility and a willing heart to be receptive to having someone pray for you.
We often avoid opening ourselves up to the pastors and spiritual leaders in our life, but when we do they often help us to encounter God in new and powerful ways.
Have a sense of expectancy that God is going to do something great in your life. Believe that God will do a deep and lasting work in your life.
Journalling
Read Hebrews 4:12-13.
