Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

Reflection:

Who overcomes the world? You! You have victory. It doesn’t matter what you are up against. You have the victory because you have faith in Jesus.

The source of your victory is not your knowledge, experience, or human strength. The source of your confidence during challenging circumstances lies not in your ability to control all the outcomes. No. Because you have Jesus, no matter what you face, you can overcome it.

Admittedly, I think you are pretty extraordinary and far more capable than you even realize, but it’s not your strength that’s going to get you through and help you overcome. Jesus is the One who will carry you, keep you, and help you. His Spirit is with you— is alive in you. And He will be your power when you feel weak. He will be your compass when you aren’t sure what to do. He will be your source of hope when situations seem too overwhelming or when temptations feel too great. He’s got you. Because of Jesus, you are an overcomer.

Take heart today. Whatever you are facing, rest in God’s love. Hold on to faith, and entrust your today and tomorrow to a God who loves you perfectly.
