Understanding God’s Kingdom Wealth Flow

DAY 2 OF 30

DEVELOPING THE RIGHT FINANCIAL DISPOSITION TOWARDS GOD (2)

Yesterday, we looked at four key financial dispositions you can have towards God. Today, our focus will be on how you can be rich towards God. True wisdom is seen in your decisions and choices.

Now, what is the meaning of being rich towards God that Jesus mentioned in Luke 12:19-21? In verse 19, the man said, “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.” What a difference it would have made when he had this bountiful harvest if he said, “I will say to my God, what do you want me to do with this?” There is a huge difference. The posture of his heart towards God was wrong. He also lacked understanding of the purpose of the harvest God gave to him.

How do you know you are not rich towards God? You have no understanding of God's purpose and plans. Every time people walk against and out of divine purpose in the scriptures, God called them children. Jesus told His disciples to wait for Him somewhere, and when He found them, Peter went fishing, and others followed him. And they caught nothing that night. Jesus saw them, and He said, “Children…” (John 21:5). Every time Jesus called them children, they were outside His purpose.

Being rich towards God means that you always seek God to understand the purpose of wealth in your custody and channel it in that direction as He instructs you. When you step into this dimension properly, then you move into that zone of blessing where you are ‘blessed to be a blessing’.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I pray for a clear understanding of the purpose of the wealth and resources you have placed in my custody. I receive grace to be rich towards God. Amen!
