Whispers of Grace: Prayers of Transformationਨਮੂਨਾ

Day Four
A Prayer for Unconditional Love with Pastor Kathy LeFleur
Lord God, I want to know what Your love feels like. I want to be able to love like You and to love others as well. First John 4:19 says, “We love because he first loved us,” and to know that You loved me first is so comforting. There are so many times that I make mistakes and fall short, but knowing that You loved me first reminds me that You will continue to guide me to all truth and righteousness as I learn to submit to You. Knowing that You loved me first gives me the confidence to believe I can love others without hesitation or limitation.
Father, I want to love those who may not understand me. I want to be able to love those who may have wronged me. I even want to love those who may have hurt me. But without Your Spirit helping me to do so, I feel like it’s impossible. Help me remember that love is a powerful thing. It was the reason that encouraged You to send Your Son to save the world. You did it for and from love, and I want to thank You, Lord. Would You help me exhibit a love that would glorify You for all to see around me?
Lord, as You teach me how to love others, I ask that You heal me and teach me how to love myself. Teach me how to love my imperfections and my flaws. Help me to recognize that no matter what I may be going through, I am still loved by You. Show me how to love myself beyond the past mistakes and disappointments I may have made in my life. Remind me that no matter what I do, You won’t take Your love away from me. Let me feel Your love in every area of my life so that I know that I can make it through any situation.
I love You and I’m looking forward to showing others the same love that You have shown me. In Jesus' Name, we pray, Amen.
Reflection:
Take some quiet time to reflect. Afterward, journal an answer to the question: What did you feel and/or hear God say during your prayer?
