Fearfully Made: A 15 Day Devotional for TeensSample
Embracing Your Identity
Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
God knows you intimately. Before you even took your first breath, He knew everything about you—your strengths, weaknesses, fears, and potential. This means that your identity is rooted in something much deeper than your achievements or what others think of you. It is grounded in the fact that you are known and loved by God. Embracing your identity in Christ can be challenging, especially in a world that constantly tries to define you by external measures like appearance, popularity, or success. But remember, God has set you apart for a special purpose. Your true identity is found in Him, and it is unchanging. When you embrace this truth, you can walk confidently, knowing you are valued and loved beyond measure.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for knowing me intimately and setting me apart for Your purpose. Help me to embrace my identity in You and to find my worth in Your love. Guide me to live out the identity You have given me with confidence and faith. Amen.
Activity:
Reflect on areas in your life where you may seek validation from others instead of God. Write a letter to yourself, affirming your true identity in Christ and committing to seek His approval above all else.
