What to Pray for Your Childrenਨਮੂਨਾ

What to pray for your children
Practical guidelines (8)
Pray that they will have compassion for others. Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience (Colossians 3:12).
Pray that they will grow in grace. “You must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. All glory to Him, both now and forever! Amen” (2 Peter 3:18).
Pray that they will live out of hope and faith in God. “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).
Pray that they will have servant’s hearts. “You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When He appeared in human form, He humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of highest honour and gave Him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:5-11).
