7 Ways to Think FreshSample
How to Stay in Balance
Recently, I saw an advertisement on Instagram for a book by an American who wanted to explain how to grow your business and bring glory to God!
I was shocked that across the board—all the comments below were negative! As if success were a bad thing, something evil. But in the same breath we sing wonderful songs like: "The Lord bless you..." It's sometimes confusing, isn't it?
Imagine you pray for blessings and then God really blesses you!
When I celebrated a milestone birthday this year, I just wanted to cut loose and enjoy it. I booked and paid for a trip to Morocco three years ago that I had to postpone. But since my big dream was to spend my birthday with friends in Nice by the sea, I decided to just pack both into one week! Well, that was a party!
But I brought illness home with me. And faster than I could think, they were there, these evil thoughts: "You see, that's the punishment. You've had too much fun. The people who follow you on social media probably think so too.”
Luckily I have good friends who keep me in balance: “Are you crazy, Déborah! Where does this nonsense come from?” haha. And, I think we need to ask ourselves that question more often. We are very quick to judge. But God wants us to:
"Rejoice with those who rejoice!" (Romans 12:15 NIV) And He promises: “The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." (Isaiah 58:11 NIV)
God loves to bless His people. (see Genesis 12:2 NIV)
He also wants us to bless Him as we see where our blessings come from. “Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name.” (Psalm 103:1 NKJV)
You are a miracle!
Déborah
