Faith for the Fertility Journey a 3-Day Plan by Allison Dolcy DanielsSample
Day 1
I still remember when my faith shifted on this fertility journey that started 25 years ago. An ice-cold nonchalant doctor had uttered those soul-crushing words “We don’t know if you’ll be able to have kids.”
Just as life was “beginning” at age 22, I was told I shouldn’t get my hopes up concerning motherhood. I was getting ready to have surgery yet again.
I had found a friend in Jesus early in life. So I did the only thing I knew to do, worship the Lord.
I remember the wave of peace as I was wheeled through the hospital corridors for my third procedure. Laying on the operating table, not knowing if the doctor’s word would come to pass, I chose to proclaim the one thing I knew to be true.
Suddenly in the noisy pace of an operating room, a nurse heard me, and shouted “Be quiet! She’s singing!.” An immediate hush fell over the entire surgical team as they listened to my song from the hospital gurney:
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus
Oh, for grace to trust Him more
Sweet sister, I know the depths of your sorrow. It feels unfair. This is not what you dreamed of. It may feel hard, long, and hopeless.
Can I invite you to shift your gaze to the One who desires your worship in the waiting?
Even in the middle of this unknown, God is looking for our hearts to continually turn to Him in confident trust. When we shift our eyes to Him we behold this truth - in every circumstance, God is to be praised.
A heart that trusts the Lord, that is confident in Him will not stop worshipping. You may have to worship with tears streaming down your face. You may have to lift your hands to Him driving to another baby shower. You may have to offer up your song on the surgery table.
Wherever this fertility journey takes you, give the Lord your heart, your future, and your praise.

About this Plan
A fertility journey is a rollercoaster of emotions. Through the highs and lows God has given us a promise, He is faithful. May your heart experience joy in the waiting as the Lord draws near to you and calls us to remember that He is always good.
