The Bible Matters Because _______________. Sample
A lot of people around the world don’t believe in the power and relevance of the Bible or feel like it’s even important anymore.
Statistically, with each year that passes, more and more Americans believe the Bible is just another book written by men.
We disagree. God used men to write his Word — his very own love letter — to the world. It wasn’t just relevant then; it’s relevant now. And it’s something that we need to be engaging with frequently, deeply and intentionally.
So we pose a statement to you: The Bible matters because ____________.
How would you fill in the blank? What answer would you give as to why the Bible matters to you personally? Or even why it’s mattered in the past, and therefore why it still matters today?
The Bible isn’t just an old historical book that holds no relevance today. Hebrews 4:12 tells us, “For the word of God is alive and powerful” (NLT). Note the present tense — it is alive and powerful, not it was alive and powerful!
God’s Word is eternal. It will endure forever! And people need to understand its value and worth in their lives, right here and right now.
That’s why the #WhyBible campaign exists — so that stories and conversations can be shared about why the Bible matters today. It’s designed to remind us all that the Bible continues to have an incredible impact on individuals and communities around the world.
We invite you to join us in declaring to the world the importance and significance of the Bible. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the Bible’s impact on our own lives and share our stories with the world!
