Man of Strength

DAY 3 OF 7

BE THE MAN WHO OPENS HIS TOOLBOX

Spiritual math is strange. Somehow, you can take God’s strength, give His strength to those who need it, and walk away with more than you started with! God doesn’t forbid spending time with nonbelievers. He actually wants you to help them. But there’s a big difference between using His strength to introduce people to Him and merely joining the crowd described in Psalm 1—the ungodly, sinners, and scornful. Even among non-Christians, you stick with God’s agenda. You don’t relax your standards or let down your guard. Your strength diminishes when you decide to use God’s Great Commission as an invitation to jump back into the life you wisely left. If you aren’t with the unbelieving to extend the offer of God’s rescue, then it may be time to get out. The longer you stay, the weaker you’ll become. But when you take the right approach, everything from your finances to your presence can be a tool God uses. Your generosity and readiness to help will get people asking why. When you do this, 1 Timothy 6 says you are storing treasure, building a good foundation, and experiencing true life. Men of strength understand they’re on a mission. They know their choices have consequences, their actions have reactions, and their strength can always improve.

Why does God care if you store, build, and experience the right things? How can you prioritize God’s commission and seek the strength to do what He asks?

About this Plan

Man of Strength

Men, set a powerful example for the world. Be the person God wants you to be with Man of Strength. Each entry encourages you to “be the man”—who relies on God, exercises his spiritual muscles, and denies yourself the thoughts and actions that create weakness.
