Sit, Walk, Stand - a 40 Day Walk Through of EphesiansSample
Eph 1:18-23
Paul prays that the reader will know and understand God’s great power.
Ephesians 1:19-20
That power is the same as the mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms,
This is mind-blowing. The power that lives within us as Christians is the same power that raised Jesus from the grave. We can fold our feeble hands and think little of our soft prayers, but when we pray, we move the hand that moves the world.
This power is in the name of Jesus, whom God raised.
Ephesians 1:21-23
...Far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.
Some Bible commentators say that in the great temple of Diana in Ephesus, on the statue of the goddess were inscribed these four words: “rule, authority, power and dominion”.
Whether or not it is accurate that Paul refers to their local context, the truth still stands:
Jesus is above everyone and everything!

About this Plan
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? The Christian walk can make you feel like striving when really everything has been done for you by Jesus, but there is still so much to be done. This is the tension every Christian walks in. The tension between the NOW & the NOT-YET. We are SEATED with Jesus, now WALK IT OUT, so that you may STAND.
