Prayers for Mamas: An Ode to Our Heroesਨਮੂਨਾ

THE SINGLE MOTHER

Heavenly Father, thank you for this opportunity to come before you on behalf of the single mother. The mother raising her child alone, with little or no community. Lord, we thank you for her life and the life of her child. We thank you for her provision and protection and for covering her in ways she cannot begin to fathom. Father, remind her that when she is weak, You are made strong; when she feels alone, You are her comforter. When she feels vulnerable and unsure, You are her rock and her safe place. Lord, draw her heart close to Yours. Lead her in the paths of righteousness, for Your name’s sake. Exchange her ashes with beauty and her tears with unspeakable joy. Remove any garments of shame and replace them with garments of laughter and peace. Lord, fill her with Your love and strength so she may impart the same to her child. Loving Father, we pray You would meet Your daughter at the place of her every need and remind her that You are the God who sees her. Forever and ever, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray and say, AMEN!
