Good Call

DAY 14 OF 28

At the end of every week, we'll give you a challenge—something to try that might be outside your regular routine. Each challenge is designed to help you develop one important spiritual habit. This week, it's...

SPEND TIME WITH OTHERS

The people in our lives can have a big impact on our faith—and we can have a big impact on other people's faith too. But that doesn't happen by accident. Today's challenge is going to help you connect with at least one other person in a way that helps you (or maybe even both of you) grow!

CHALLENGE

This week, we talked about how wise people share what God gave them. Hopefully, by now, you've recognized some things you have to offer others. Doing something on your own is great, but your impact is multiplied when you ask others to join you. Here are some more ideas to get you started...

  1. ORGANIZE A DONATION DRIVE: What's something people in your region usually need? It could be warm coats, socks, or hats for the winter. Or maybe kids at your local elementary school need notebooks and school supplies. Get some friends together and invite others to donate things—new or gently used—that you don't need.
  2. MAKE SOMETHING TO GIVE AWAY: Feeling creative? Plan a time for friends to come over and bake, build, or knit. Set a goal for how many things you'd like to make, and decide who you want to give to.
  3. GIVE YOUR TIME: Imagine the impact you and your friends could have when you show up together. You can do something organized, like volunteer work at a nursing home or children's shelter. Or look for ways to show God's love in your neighborhood by offering to clear leaves, clean up garbage, or paint window frames.

About this Plan

Good Call

Coaches create the strategy, put together a game plan, and send their players out to make it happen. Wouldn't it be nice for someone to do that for all of our decisions? In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll explore Proverbs and Epistles to help us learn how God guides us toward wisdom and helps us make godly decisions.
