Salty Lemonade: A Refreshing Twist on the Recipe for Overcoming Adversity

DAY 10 OF 10

Congratulations! You made it to the end of the 10-Day Salty Lemonade Challenge. My prayer is that this has been a reminder to you of the grace that has been poured out on your life.

By now, you have learned that the troubles of life (lemons) do not equal doom and gloom. As a matter of fact, if used correctly, you can make a pretty mean lemonade with the ingredients. Have you stopped to think of all the areas where you have been challenged this year? Now think of the ways God has provided for you during those challenging times. Often, we get caught up in the forest and can’t see the trees, but It is good to go back and make a mental note of just how far God has brought you during a hard season of life.

Once you identify the ways in which God has helped you overcome adversity, it is time to help someone else in their time of need. You don’t have to look far to find someone who is going through a rough time. Right now, with our world in such turmoil, people are hurting everywhere. It may be as simple as striking up a genuine conversation by asking “How are you doing…I mean how are you REALLY doing?” You must be prepared for the answer because it may shock you to find out what people are going through without you even knowing it. Everyone needs a shoulder to lean on from time to time, a listening ear, a compassionate friend. Could you be that for someone today?

Your Day Ten Challenge is to find ONE person and invest a few minutes learning about their current life and situation. If they confide in you about a challenge in their lives, share a bit of your testimony of overcoming. You may find that your words of encouragement will be the thing they needed to maintain their hope and faith.

Day 9

About this Plan

Salty Lemonade: A Refreshing Twist on the Recipe for Overcoming Adversity

The Salty Lemonade 10-Day Challenge takes the old adage "When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade" and brings a Kingdom perspective. As Believers we are called to be salt and light in the world, so it makes sense that during times of adversity, trouble and crisis we are especially mindful of the way we navigate those seasons.
