Advance: Living Unstuck & Moving Forward in Faithਨਮੂਨਾ

Day 6: From Distraction to Focus:
We all face distractions. We all have things that need to get done. You may be working, doing homeschooling, taking care of the kids, keeping up with laundry, washing dishes, or addressing any other task that needs your attention. Some of the things we have to do are good, but sometimes we can be so distracted that we don’t take time to hear God’s voice.
Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV) says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
In the middle of all that you have to do and all the chaos around you, focus on what matters. Focus on what God has entrusted to you and what He is speaking to you. God wants to give you clarity in the midst of chaos. He wants to guide you, but we can be so easily weighed down with distractions that we miss it. We must lay aside our distractions and fix our eyes on Jesus.
When we look to Jesus and focus on Him, He brings things into perspective. He gives us the right focus for our day, our family, our work, or ministry. In Hebrews 12:2, the Word encourages us that the way we will endure and run our race is by looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
