Our Faithful God

I was attending a conference at Canterbury in England. And I was stone cold and absolutely broke. As a student, I knew how to stretch my money… and it had stretched as far as Canterbury. Having relied on Jesus before, I was excited to see how He would help. As I was getting ready for the final church service, I put my hand into my coat pocket and felt something crinkly. It was AU$70. What? Huh? I was experiencing a miracle. How did it get there? I had no idea, but I was full of praise to Jesus, who had made it happen. Wow, I was floored, and my problem was solved.

But there was more! A conference friend offered to drive me to London, and we had the most wonderful city tour on one of those endless English summer evenings. With accommodation previously sorted, I changed the $70 into English pounds and had the train fare to Heathrow. When I arrived in Sydney, my wife met me at the airport, and I was soon home.

But where did that money come from? Oh yes… oops! Now I remember… it was my wife’s tithe, and I had forgotten to put it on the church plate before I left. So, my forgetfulness became a glory story, a love and care story that I still talk about.

When Jesus moves in your life today in His beautiful faithfulness, you too will experience and collect similar glory love stories. Remember, you can’t do it without Him; our faith is always an active partnership. So remember to rely on Him because you cannot do this alone. Remember, the Lord is with you… always.
