Living on Purpose: With God as Your Centerਨਮੂਨਾ

Day 1 | God is a Big God
Bringing your faith into any setting starts with a big view of God. Why is this important? Rick Warren’s The Purpose-Driven Life opens with a paradigm-shifting sentence: “It’s not about you.” A big view of God makes us realize that there is more to life than our success. It’s not about the credit or recognition we get. God is the only one who is worthy of worship. He is eternal, all-powerful, all-wise. Psalm 104:2-4 provides a great description of his power and beauty.
There is no one more beautiful. No one more wonderful. No one more worthy of praise and adoration. And no one is more trustworthy.
In today’s world, the draw of money, power, and influence is overwhelming. Successful careers, beautiful homes, and financial goals are not evil. But loving these things—or anything else—more than God is evil. We are to have no other gods before him.
God made all things. He sustains all things. All things exist for him and for his glory—including us! Having this mindset changes everything. Laying down our entire lives as a living sacrifice is how we can best worship God our Creator. He himself has held nothing back from us. Living this way not only maximizes our worship, but it maximizes our joy. Living this way is living for the purpose for which our Creator made us.

About this Plan

The way you see God impacts absolutely everything about your life. If you won’t believe him for big things, you won’t trust him enough to surrender to him. When you understand how powerful and good he is, how much he cares for you, and how personally involved he is in the details of your life, everything changes.
