Divine Separation Will Reveal Hidden Plans For The Future
When we make a conscious and deliberate choice not to allow strife to perpetuate in our lives, it not only gives us clarity of the vision for our own lives but it causes God to share his plans even for the future of others. I had many situations where I kept holding on to people and keeping them in my life even when there were outward signs we did not have the same shared vision and values. One thing that can perpetuate strife is to be in control of others, thinking we know what is best for them and trying to make them go in our direction when their heart is elsewhere. I am not ashamed to say I have suffered from this "control freak" syndrome. I guess because I grew up with little parental guidance and many failures; that I was bent on making sure the people in my life would have a path to follow that was right in my eyes. I had so much strife in my life I was devastated when the actual separation happened.
The reason I can write on this is because I lived in it for many years and due to cultivating strife in my life I was blinded by this notion that to help someone I love I had to keep them close and in my space even if it made me miserable. Somehow I convinced myself I was," suffering for the cause." What a lie from hell! Over the years I have learned that divine separation can give me more clarity in helping the person rather than staying in strife. After Abraham separated from Lot, he developed such a close relationship with God that was so intimate; God was not willing to keep secrets from him. Who would have thought refusing to keep strife in our lives could open our hearts to the plans of God for the future of others. Just Amazing!!!
God was about to investigate the situation in Sodom and Gomorrah and shared his intentions with Abraham because God considered him a friend. I am overwhelmed with the grace of our God toward us who desire to walk in his ways but even to our family and friends in caring to share what might happen if we don't pray for them. If you want to help your loved ones, it is time to clear the clutter so you can be useful for their survival.
Food for Thought: Am I able to hear what is on God's heart? Do I know what will be the outcome for my loved ones and friends?

About this Plan
When we hear the word “separation” immediately our thoughts go to a married couple going their separate ways. However, do you know that separation extends to family, friends, or anyone dear to you? Are you aware that “separation” can also be a God-thing? In this plan, we would explore the life of Abraham and how Divine Separation had to happen for him to fulfill the plans and purposes that God had in store for him.
