DAY 2 OF 4

Community

In Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus lovingly calls us to embrace our role as lights in this world: "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

As followers of Christ, we are not called to live in isolation but to illuminate our communities with His love and truth. Just as a city on a hill is visible from afar, our lives should radiate the beauty of God's grace, compassion, and righteousness.

Being a light means living with integrity and kindness, extending a helping hand to those in need, and standing for justice and righteousness. It means offering hope to the broken-hearted, encouragement to the discouraged, and love to the lonely.

In a world often clouded by darkness—where negativity, despair, and division prevail—our role as lights becomes ever more crucial. By reflecting the character of Christ, we become beacons that guide others towards God's redemptive love.

Let us not hide our light, fearing rejection or worldly opinions. Instead, let us courageously shine in our communities, making a lasting impact through our actions and words. As we do, people will witness the transformational power of Christ in us, and God will be glorified.

Today, let us purposefully be the light that brightens our neighbourhoods, workplaces, and social circles. By living out our faith authentically and compassionately, we participate in God's plan to draw all people to Himself. May our lives continually point others to the ultimate source of light, Jesus Christ, who offers hope and salvation to all who believe.

About this Plan

Occupy

Our living spaces, whether it's our homes, neighbourhoods, or communities, are gifts from God. As followers of Christ, we are called to be good stewards and make a positive impact on the world around us. This plan will explore various Scriptures that highlight the importance of truly occupying the places we inhabit, helping us fulfil our responsibility as stewards of these spaces.
