Real Hope: Relationship With GodSample

Real Hope: Relationship With God

DAY 1 OF 7

God Loves You

From the very beginning, God wanted a relationship with us. From Genesis to Revelation, we read of a God who desired to be God to His people. We read of a God who, knowing full well many would reject Him, still chose to create us. And we read of a God who loved His people so much that He sent His only Son to die on a cross for us, all in the name of love (John 3:16).

God is a relational God who has always longed for our heart. We see this demonstrated in His interactions with Adam, and then again in Jesus when He walked on earth. Jesus would regularly sit and enjoy a meal with people. His teaching was often done over a shared meal. His miracles often performed up close and personal. And it is no different today. God is still a relational God, and He wants a relationship with us. With you.

God longs for your heart today just as much as when He first formed you in your mother’s womb. With tenderness He knit you together, carefully crafting you, instilling you with parts of Himself. And with that same tenderness He calls us to Himself today, inviting us to intwine our hearts with His. To accept Him as our heavenly Father and accept Jesus as our Saviour.

A relationship with Jesus is a beautiful thing. Being loved by God is like no other love. It is unconditional and pure. It is faithful and uncompromising. He loves us with an everlasting love that cannot be compared and cannot be lost. No matter what we do, God loves us. He loves you today, and He always will.
