Real Hope: Paul the Apostleਨਮੂਨਾ

The Spirit of God
Knowing the heart of God only requires one thing. To peer into what makes God tick, you need to have God’s Spirit. I’m getting this insight from the apostle Paul’s first letter to the Corinthian church. Pointed out in verse 10 of chapter 2, the Spirit ‘searches all things, even the deep things of God’. Without claiming it as a direct translation, what is being described here must be ‘the heart’ of God. If we were able to get inside God and rummage through His deepest things, we would surely be adventuring through the very heart of the Almighty.
Humanity being connected with the heart of God expresses plenty about God’s heart for humanity. Often, I think we forget or ignore how God doesn’t have to share anything with us. Nothing. But He chose to, even to His ‘deep things’. The mystery and wisdom of such a connection is beyond my comprehension. What we can grasp, though, is savouring the Spirit’s direct link to the meaningful depths of God.
