Intimacy in Marriage
“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.” – Ephesians 5:31 KJV
The topic of intimacy has been one that has brought up a lot of disparities and arguments. How intimate should I be with my spouse? To what level should I be intimate with my spouse?
The Bible says two shall become one flesh which basically means both of you have practically become one. Therefore, you should allow your spouse to see into you.
True marital intimacy allows you to be naked and unashamed before your spouse. It involves you being totally honest and allowing yourself to be vulnerable.
Intimacy in marriage is beyond paying attention to the sexual part of marriage. It goes as much as helping each other achieve your goals and even the littlest things as brightening up your spouse’s day.
In this study, God will be opening our eyes to all we need to know and do to improve intimacy in our marriages, and I pray we will be sensitive to receive all He is revealing to us in this season.
I pray we will be that generation that will make marital bliss common in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Love,
