We are so glad you are joining Mark & me on this '21 days of Prayer & Fasting.'

Prayer has always been crucial to the life of a Jesus follower, as it is how we communicate with God, how we come to Him, how we pour out our hearts to Him, and how we, in turn, hear Him speak to us as we grow to know His heart. God asks us to pray to Him and believe that He hears us and answers us. He even teaches us HOW to pray when we are unsure how to pray.

There are so many ways to pray. Some of you will have a private prayer room to go and seek God. Some of you will start or finish your day with the Lord's Prayer. Some of us like to pray scripture, walk and pray, worship and pray, pray with our spouses or children, and some of you will fast and pray.

Whatever your method is, this is not the focus but rather the fact that you ARE praying.

As for those of you who want to join in fasting, again, let me encourage you that the 'what' you fast is less important than the fact that you intentionally give something up to fill that space with time with God. Fasting food, social media, TV, or something else that distracts you is a great way to carve out time you can spend in His presence.

Remember that our God is a speaking God and that He loves it when we draw near so that we can hear His voice and His thoughts, feel His love, and be transformed in His presence.

Mark & I have a GREAT expectation that God will speak to you afresh as we pray & fast together over these next 21 days.
