5 Things You Can Expect From GodSample
EXPECT PROVISION
Did you know that God wants to provide for you? Whatever you need, He is ready, willing, and able to be your provider. One of His names is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. It’s His very nature to provide for you.
So when you have a need, He should be the first place you go to get that need met. Look into His Word and meditate on all His promises of provision, then expect to see it in your life!
Jesus died so that every one of your needs would be met in abundance, and you would have enough left over to be a blessing everywhere you go. Philippians 4:19 says, God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus and 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
One of the most amazing stories in the Bible is how He provided for the children of Israel in the wilderness. His original plan was to free them from slavery in Egypt and deliver them directly to the Land He had promised them through Abraham. But you know the story – they didn’t reach the Promised Land because of their unbelief. (Hebrews 3:19). Instead, they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years.
But! Even though they were hopelessly unfaithful and full of doubt, God never stopped providing for them all that time. He gave them manna every single day (except on the Sabbath) for 40 years. It was only meant to provide food for them for the short trip to the Promised Land. But it never ran out. He never left them – He continued to lead them every day with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night, the whole time. He is a faithful provider!
If God provided for those disobedient, doubting Israelites, how much more will He provide for you through your new and better covenant with Jesus (Hebrews 8:6). Jesus died on the cross to meet every need in your life. It’s a done deal, already bought and paid for by His blood.
When you ask God to meet your needs, you’re not demanding anything from Him, or begging Him to give you something – you’re receiving by faith that which He has already promised and provided in His Word. It’s His joy to provide for you – expect it!

About this Plan
God gives us promises in His Word. And He keeps His promises! So when He reveals something in the Bible that belongs to you in Christ, you should expect to see it manifest in your life. We call that faith. Faith is expecting to see what God has promised! This is not an exhaustive list, but here are five things you can expect from God when you believe Him:
