Strong as a Mother

DAY 7 OF 21

The eternal nature of God can be difficult for our finite minds to understand. There is no beginning or end to His existence, just more being-ness. Take a moment right now, before you read any further, to ponder that thought. How grand is God? Since God is love (in 1 John 4:16 we read about that). It also means that there is no beginning or end to His love, just more love, forever, in all directions. Jeremiah here calls it an everlasting love. This is covenant language being laid out between the people of God and the Almighty One.

Covenant, unlike an agreement or even a contract, does not alter when circumstances alter. If you change the conditions, our contract can become void, but not a covenant. A covenant still stands. When Paul writes to the churches in Corinth, he lays it out this way: “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends…” (1 Corinthians 13:7-8). Love is the binding agent in God’s covenant with His people. It has no end, no beginning, and cannot be broken by any circumstances.

Find strength in that today, dear one, you are loved -- deeply, truly, completely, and unwaveringly, by Father God.

Heavenly Father, thank You for your love. Thank You for your faithfulness to me. I may alter, but You never do. As I find strength in You alone, help me to demonstrate Your great love to others. Amen.

About this Plan

Strong as a Mother

Mothers' strength awes me as they manage life, carry others, and handle countless responsibilities. Your strength, spirit, and love inspire me to be a better mom. This devotional offers inspiration and practical support. May your strength renew itself daily. As you connect with Jesus, hear His voice, and remember, the Father sees your unseen efforts. If ever uncertain, know that I believe in your strength as a mother. - Pastor Meredith
