Our Modern Warfare (Part 2)Sample
Shield of Faith
Our understanding of the word “faith” is imperative to using our shield correctly.
Faith is a verb, an action, not a belief. In order to truly have faith, an action must accompany it. Faith is evident by our actions. Faith has to be in motion in order for our shield to be raised up in defense.
A Roman soldier understood the importance their shield played in protecting themselves and the soldiers to their right and left. If one shield went down in an attack, the entire army could be compromised. Every single shield mattered. The same is true for our shield of faith; it’s not only for our protection, but those close to us.
I hope you realize that your shield matters. There is a gaping hole on the battlefield when you are not holding your shield up. God created you with unique gifts and talents. You have an irreplaceable role in the war. Every single woman brings something unique and incredibly necessary to the battlefield to not only fight our enemy but encourage those who are fighting alongside of you. Our enemy is the father of lies and will work around the clock to poison your self-image, worth, and value. He will try to convince you that you have nothing to offer because you are not worthy of anything of significance.
When we’re not living out our faith and attaching actions to our beliefs, we’re not only leaving ourselves vulnerable but also those closest to us. Our enemy does not want you to realize the potential God created you with because he knows what a fierce warrior you would be against him! Our faith in action encourages many others to do the same. Living out our faith can be: making church a priority, fostering/adopting, serving in your local church, getting out of debt, staying sexually pure until marriage, breaking addictions, offering forgiveness, etc…
If you are a Mama, it’s your job to hold your shield of faith up for your children until they are strong enough to do it on their own. A shield will not raise itself; it is useless without a warrior to grip its handle and lift it up for protection. Our shield will extinguish all the flaming arrows from the enemy. A warrior that puts action to her faith is capable of stopping every arrow headed your way.

Scripture
About this Plan
God didn’t leave His daughters to face a viscous enemy alone. He’s given us His very own armor so we can experience victory over the enemy. Jesus’ blood has already won the war, freeing us from the power of the enemy, but few are living within this freedom. This plan will give specific examples on how God’s Word teaches His warriors to wear their armor and fight back.
