TheLionWithin.Us: How to Lead Your Wifeਨਮੂਨਾ

Communication
Most men are not good communicators.
Let me say that again - most men are not good communicators. It is through that lack of communication that most disagreements in marriages start. James 1 talks to us about the importance of hearing what others say and how we must control our anger.
You must hear what your spouse is saying and listen with the intent of understanding. Pay attention to what she is telling you – after all, she is the most important person in the world to you (outside of Jesus). Recognize this – your wife is not a mind reader. We must verbalize what we are thinking and in a way that our wives can understand. Coming at her with a ROAR because you have pent up anger that finally bursts forward is not helpful.
Every day is a new opportunity to communicate with your wife in the way she desires. Ask her how she would like you to deliver information and come up with a system that works for you both. Take the initiative here and do not let Satan cripple your marriage due to a lack of communication.
Question to Consider
- Can you answer right now what the top three things that happened in your wife’s day were?
- If your wife had to answer the same question about you, could she? If the answer to both is no – what are you going to do as a Lion to start fixing that today?
- What actions will you commit to today to be the leader God intends you to be?
