HOW TO POSITIVELY APPLY THE BRAKES WITH YOUR WORDS

Be careful of what you are releasing. Every time you open your mouth, you release either God or Satan. The mouth is the cervix of the spirit. Don’t joke about dangerous things. In the spirit realm, there’s no provision for jokes. Words are words, cancel them if you do not want them.

Parents with their utterances can put brakes on their children’s lives until they grow to the age of accountability. Many years ago, our son started primary (elementary) school and at the end of the first term, he was in the last position in the class. This continued for some terms and would have continued until my wife reacted. My wife said, “No! The Bible said he shall be the head and not the tail”, and I agreed. By the end of the fifth term, he moved to the fifth position. By the sixth term, he moved up the ladder, took the first position till he graduated, and also graduated with an academic award. I realised that I was putting brakes on his progress earlier on by agreeing with what people said.

When somebody comes to you and asks, “Do you know Nigeria is in trouble?”, he is a bad driver on the road of life. Steer your life’s vehicle away from such a person’s path with your words because bad drivers will join you to their journey of destruction and danger.

When a doctor says, “Madam, this case is hopeless. In fact, only two people have ever survived this case. The percentage of survival for this case is 1%”, tell him or her that you are part of the 1% survivors. Once a doctor begins to speak like that, he is bringing the spirit of death apart from medicine against you.

PRAYER: Father, I take heed according to this word today. Holy Spirit, help me to watch what I say and release with my mouth in Jesus’ name. Amen!
