You Are Free With Judah LupisellaSample
Day One
I want to give you these words of caution and encouragement, which can repeatedly serve as a reminder of your freedom in Christ.
First off: When you’re free, you’re actually free. The Word of God clearly states: “So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free (John 8:36)." There is nothing that could ever take your freedom away from you—it has been given to you in Christ Jesus.
With that being said, this doesn’t mean that the devil will stop trying to taunt you and tempt you. The devil wants to place lies in your head to make you question if you’re actually free in Christ. I’m not saying this to instill fear into you, but to give you a forewarning of the reality that is to come. The Good News is that you already have and continuously can overcome anything that the devil tries to throw at you, because you are free in Christ Jesus. Not a single lie that the devil speaks can change the true reality: that you are free. YOU ARE FREE!
As you walk in this freedom from whatever ungodly addiction, mindset, relationship, characteristic, desire, torment, stronghold, idol, or whatever else you may have dealt with or were consumed by in times past, there are going to be times when the devil will attempt to deceive you by whispering subtle lies through taunts and temptations to make you question if you’re really free. In these moments, you must instantly confront that lie with an action, by the power of the Holy Spirit. If you’re free from a pornography addiction, and an inappropriate advertisement pops up, that’s not a coincidence; it’s a direct attack from the devil, so close your eyes and hold the power button until your computer shuts off. If you’re free from fear, but all of a sudden you feel fearful, that’s not a coincidence; it’s a taunting from the devil. Don’t let the devil’s taunts and temptations get to you; he’s already lost—you are free!
