A Supernaturally Natural Life Sample
I DON’T SPEAK SPANISH
I love speaking at youth camps because there is always something supernatural that happens, which just blows my mind away and at the same time opens my mind and heart to see an entirely new perspective of God that I wasn’t aware of. At one particular youth camp, once again the Spirit of the Lord was moving so powerfully and we had kids crying and lying down all over the place, in reverence and prayer.
The Spirit of the Lord led me to pray for a certain kid who was kneeling down and praying in Spanish. I gently placed my hands over his heart, and began to pray over Him. I tried to pray over him in the language that I speak best, English. However as I started praying, it was almost like I had no idea how to speak in English and only the Holy language of speaking in tongues was coming forth from my mouth.
After about ten minutes, the pastor prayed and said the benediction. The moment he said “Amen”, this kid, whom I had been praying for, called the translator over and asked him “how does this pastor know to speak Spanish so well?” Confused, the translator said “He’s from India, he doesn’t know Spanish”. The boy then said, “I cannot believe it because he was praying in Spanish and was speaking words of knowledge into my life.” On hearing this, we all glorified the Lord and started to rejoice over what He had just done.
Praying in tongues is indeed powerful! It helps you grow in your spiritual life, it helps you intercede with great burden; it helps you move in the gifts of the Spirit and it helps you defeat the enemy. It’s time we walk in the Spirit and experience the power of God in our lives.
Application: Take time every day to pray in the Holy Spirit. My friend, wherever you go, He goes - because He lives inside of you. Whether you’re walking, driving, riding, playing, or whatever it is, get into the habit of praying in tongues. The more you do that, the more you will see His presence in everything you do.
