10 Things That Must Be Involved in Your ThanksgivingSample
ACCURATELY DESCRIBED AND MEASURED
Today we will consider the last two points.
(9) It must be descriptive of what was done
You must be able to describe what was done, not just something vague. It must reflect what was done - you must show your personal estimation of what was done. I think younger folks must learn this thanksgiving from elderly people. It is one of the things that nobody teaches you in school, that is why a teacher can labor over you, and you don’t remember him. We must not be used to taking things for granted.
In the Bible, the one barren woman committed the act of despising while David was rejoicing before the Lord for what the Lord had done. David was a classic example of a man raised up by God.
(10) It must be measured
When you are bringing your thanksgiving, you must measure three things as you come to God’s presence;
- You must measure your ATTITUDE; it must be fitted to the occasion and the act you are thanking Him for.
- You must measure your WORDS as you come before Him. When Hannah thanked God for the birth of Samuel, it was different from how Peninnah thanked God for her five children - Hannah had one after many years of waiting. So you must weigh and measure your words.
- You must measure your ACT
Thanklessness is unacceptable before heaven.
PRAYER: Lord, this thing (mention it) that you did for me is weighty in my sight. Today, I’ve come to say thank you, Lord! Lord, I repent of any form of thanklessness in Jesus’ name. Amen!

About this Plan
Without deep thinking, there is no thankfulness. Thanksgiving goes beyond a special day on your calendar; it is a time to give a heartfelt appreciation to God for what he has done for you personally. In this 6-day devotional, you will learn critical components of thanksgiving.
