Worthy: 10 Mindful Moments to Bring Peace to Your DaySample
You are More Than What You Have to Offer
If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot disown Himself. II TIMOTHY 2:13 NIV
It is wonderful to know that God’s faithfulness isn’t dependent on our feelings—even when we feel faithless or burnt out. No matter where circumstances have brought you today, His love is wide enough, constant enough, and stable enough to carry you through your changing days. He cares for the state of your mind and soul beyond the state of your performance.
In a world that operates primarily on transactions, it can be difficult to fathom that there are things that aren’t based solely on what we have to offer. While culture tells us we are as valuable as what we do, history has shown that the world will keep going regardless of our efforts. So who we are and how we show up through this life must transcend what we do.
Let it sink in that your worth was never dependent on your level of productivity. You are still worthy when you rest, take time to heal, or take a step back to regather yourself. Ephesians 1:4 says you were securely loved and chosen before the earth's foundation. You were deemed worthy of love and belonging before you ever did a single thing—and you still are.
AFFIRMATION:
I am just as worthy in my resting as I am in my doing.
