God’s Promises for SolopreneursSample
Promise: God Hears You
I experienced a time in my entrepreneurial journey when God seemed silent. I asked Him for direction on where to take the Born to Fly community, and after praying for weeks, all I heard was crickets.
Doubts began to arise: Did God hear me? Did He care about this? Was He simply ignoring me?
It was frustrating to spend minutes in prayer and walk away empty-handed. How was I supposed to move on?
I didn’t know, until I found the first glimmer of hope in God’s Word. If you are in a similar season right now, anchor with me on this promise: God always hears you.
God isn’t deaf to your prayers. In fact, He collects them in golden bowls (Revelation 5:8). God cares about how you are feeling. He wants to help you deal with the problems in your business.
If that is so, then why doesn’t God always answer? In my case, He did, though. He challenged me to journal my prayer process and capture all the thoughts, clues, nudges, and conversations I had had about the matter. He spoke through His Word and other Christ-focused people.
God does answer—He just doesn’t always answer in ways that you expect. He uses what will be impactful to teach you the most, all in a loving manner.
God sees the whole picture; you only see part of it. The fogginess about which path to follow will disappear as you begin to trust that His answers will be exactly what you need at the right time.
Blessings,
Jane
By the way, the podcast episode “Why is God silent about my business?” goes deeper into this subject and is great encouragement.
