"The Power of a Story"

We see in this passage that the word about Lazarus spread very quickly! People saw and heard that Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead. We see the ripple effect of the miraculous works of Jesus that is found in verses 17-18.

"17 Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. 18 Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went out to meet him. 19 So the Pharisees said to one another, 'See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!'"

The people shared this miraculous story with others! They then chased after Jesus to see these works for themselves!

Not only does this crowd have an awesome story to tell, you have one too! How do we share our story or “testimony” with others? One of the hardest things to do as a Christian is learning how to share your faith. Even though you have experienced an incredible transformation in your life, how do you share it with others? Not only is it difficult, but at times it can be scary. We fear what people are going to say. We fear they might think we are strange.

This passage shows us that there is power in simply sharing your faith experience with others.

What has Jesus done in your life? What miracles have you seen Jesus perform? How has your life changed because you know Jesus?
