Finding and Flourishing in Your Place in the ChurchSample
COMPONENTS OF THE SHEEPFOLD (2): THE SHEEP (2)
The risk of sheep hurting fellow sheep is especially high among a certain class of people who are ministers. These are people who though they are ministers on their own, decide to settle in a local church. A minister in that class whom God has not called to do church work must deliberately settle his family in a sheepfold. The reason for this is that there are ministers with these kinds of callings whose wives do not have similar callings. However, because women tend to associate with their husbands, you find such women that have no grace to minister to people trying to do things that are killing her and then killing the church simply because she is the pastor’s wife. That is one of the things that God taught me in ministry, that we should not have an official pastor's wife position. Every woman is to qualify herself.
God is going to hold you responsible when your activity affects the fellowship of another person with God. When our children were growing up, we made sure that they never heard anything bad from our mouths about Christians. They grew up thinking that Christians were angels with wings on their backs until they found out that Christians are normal human beings too.
You can easily know the state of a family’s walk with God by listening to what a young one from that family says when playing. Some people are Christians in church but demons at home. That is going to reflect on what your children are going to turn out to be. Your attitudes to the things of God must not cause another person to stumble in their walk with God.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me not to let fellow sheep in the sheepfold stumble because of my actions in Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan
After genuine salvation, God places His children in a church family where they can flourish, blossom, bud, and fill the face of the earth with fruits. Church is God-ordained and when He brings you to a church, beyond a seat in the church, He gives you a spot in your pastor’s heart. This 30-day study would lead you into an experience and understanding of correct church membership.
