‘Hope is what we Crave and that will never change.’ It doesn’t take much looking around to see that this is a true statement, maybe more today than ever in history. Watch your favorite news station, reality TV show or even take a stroll through your local mall and you’ll find that the precarious issue of the modern age is there are so many big shiny toys to crave. At quick glance some of these ‘hope substitutes’ do a pretty good job of imitating the real thing, at least they do for a moment.

Proverbs 4:23 ‘Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.’

Let me pose a question to us all: Are we impacting culture or is culture impacting us? Are we infecting society with true hope or are we letting their poor imitation of hope persuade us?
