Selah: Pause and Think on ThisSample
Know Your True Friends
People who love you and have your best interest at heart will never connect themselves with people who are at odds with you. If someone you consider a friend continually associates with your enemies, do not be ignorant of this device of the enemy. A true friend never gives his ear to your accusers.
And be careful when someone confronts you about what "they" said. (Who are "they," anyway?) Whoever "they" are, you are better off without them! Selah.
Today, pray ...
Father God, I pray that You will help me know who my true friends are. Your Word says that a true friend is one who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). I know that even if my mother and father were to betray me, You would be close beside me. So, God, I pray for wisdom and discernment as I seek out the people You want me to have in my life. I declare that they will be for me as You are for me. In Jesus's name, amen.
