Precious Moments That Count For Eternity

DAY 355 OF 366

The Giver’s Guarantee

Shortly after my husband and I got married and moved into a new home, we struggled with our household budget. After tithing, paying our rent, investing and budgeting for other expenses, we were left with barely anything. That meant no impulse spending whatsoever. But we needed a vacation and planned a short one with the little money we had.
On this vacation, I felt in my heart that we needed to sow a financial seed into the life of a man of God. The amount was huge for us at the time, and I had no clue where we’d get that kind of money from. But I knew God was leading me to do this and decided to obey regardless of how difficult it seemed. I shared this with my husband and immediately we emailed our financial consultant to ask him what investment we should prematurely close. Before he had time to reply, I received a cheque that had been delayed for over a year. When I checked the amount, it was almost three times that which we were about to sow. We were amazed at God’s provision!
But hasn’t He promised us exactly that? He gives seed to the sower. That means if you really want to sow (or give), God will make sure you have enough to do so. Because He keeps His promises, a sower will always have seed! And not just that, the seed that he sows will be multiplied back to him!
The next time you are led to give towards a need, sow a seed or simply bless someone, don’t grumble or hold back. God is more than able to take care of your needs and provide you with seed. In fact, He wants to do so because He loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Prayer
Father God, I thank You that You have promised to give me seed because I am a sower. Help me to always look to You to meet my needs. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

About this Plan

Precious Moments That Count For Eternity

It is our prayer that it will reveal to those who don’t know Jesus Christ, that there is a Creator and Maker of this universe, the only loving and powerful God who longs for a personal relationship with every human being. We pray that these daily readings will remind us all of the great hope and abundant joy in knowing Jesus Christ, through whom we have eternal life!
