Revival - Finding God in a Busy WorldSample
Reviving Fellowship
“Baby, you can’t be eating this late at night.” My one true love, the wife of my youth, said to me. We had agreed on our fitness goal, but according to her, I won’t get there by eating so late (almost) every night. This was some months back.
Today, we are crushing our fitness goal, and it has been an interesting journey. We pushed each other to get here because there were times one of us just wanted to take a break, but we got to switch bad cop, good cop roles on ourselves on such occasions.
Reviving fellowship is a two-way street. Fellowship with man and fellowship with God.
We were all designed for fellowship. We are not meant to be an island.
God has called us to build and be a part of communities, this is how we grow and impact each other.
Jonathan bonded with David. Jesus bonded with his disciples. The apostles bonded with each other. And they were all the better for it.
Moses bonded with God. Abraham bonded with God. Daniel bonded with God. The list goes on and on, but one thing is constant, these people had different experiences of God as a father, friend, and deliverer.
Life is busy, and it won't stop being busy, but we have to be more intentional about reviving our fellowship with man and God. It's time to build a portfolio of exciting experiences wrapped with love.
About this Plan
What about Revival? Have you tried going the whole day without drinking water, especially during a hot sunny day when you had to be outdoors for hours? I bet at some point, you became so parched that all you could think of was getting your hands on a glass of ice-cold water. The relief is almost magical because you suddenly feel refreshed and alive. This is what revival is, and that is why it is an important part of our lives.
