I Can Do All Things “In You”: A 5-Day Devotional with Iveth LunaSample

“I’M GOING TO WALK IN VICTORY, ALL BECAUSE YOU LIVE IN ME.”

We made it to day five! Yes! This one might be my favorite because it’s what I want to challenge myself with daily. Walking in victory requires faith because it challenges us to fully trust God in all things! I haven’t always walked in victory and looking back, I remember a lot of times walking in insecurity, fear, or unbelief. However, that isn’t living fully in the truth of the Gospel. Because we have this good news, that Jesus paid for our sins and conquered the grave through his death and resurrection, we have the keys to a life in abundance because of His Spirit in us and His life-changing presence in our lives!

I’ve learned that when I stay connected to Jesus, whether it’s a season of mountains or valleys, I see with a different set of eyes: eyes of hope, eyes of trust, and eyes of victory. One of my favorite verses that points to this reality is John 15:5: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” The fruit Jesus is talking about is: “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control”. These fruits are gained in time spent with God as he shapes us into all we are called to be! So as you go about your day, this is a reminder that God is with you at all times and that makes you victorious!

Application:

We can remain in Jesus by reading His word and bringing Him into our everyday moments. Sometimes I pray in the car when I’m on the way somewhere or I’ll turn up my worship music in my bedroom and sing to remind myself of His goodness. How will you invite God into the in-between moments of your life?

It’s easy to live victorious when life is problem-free and everything is going well. But what about the times when circumstances aren’t so perfect? How will you continue to walk with God through the valleys of life? *Added this question.

Prayer:

Father, I thank you for your faithful love that champions me to walk Victorious! Thank you for giving me your Holy Spirit that equips me and grows me IN YOU. Whatever today holds, I pray to remember to walk in the confidence that your Spirit gives me. Help me share these truths with others to encourage them! Thank you! In Jesus' name, Amen!
