Soul Vision: Make Your Life CountSample
I am going to make a bold assertion here. Unless your vision for life is in accordance with God’s vision for the world (to bring people from all nations to Himself), then any vision for yourself will be just that—a vision for yourself. You will become like Israel in the Old Testament, assuming God’s salvation is for your good alone. God wants you to build a life that is visionary, toward His international vision.
Draw two circles on a sheet of paper. Identify one as yours by putting your initials on top of it. In that circle, write out the central vision of your life—your main ambition, your primary pursuit. Be honest with yourself. This exercise is for you alone to see, so don’t give the answer you think you should give. Just reflect present reality. On top of the other circle, God’s circle, write LJC, for the Lord Jesus Christ. Inside this circle, write out His central vision. Now comes the hard question: as you conceptually overlay your vision with His vision, how complementary and compatible are the two?
If your circle doesn’t coalesce with Jesus’ vision, you are trivializing life, reducing life, and facing the wrong way. Do you need help placing your circle inside Jesus’ circle for an intentional life and future? Read on tomorrow for guidance on living out God’s vision for your life.
